Where Cyber Mustangs Explore the Future
Technology is a vital part of preparing our future global citizens. The new Murch Digital Natives Club offers students a chance to learn about computers, the Internet, and the virtual world in a safe environment.
Marc Prensky, the learning software visionary, coined this new generation of students "Digital Natives." Our Mustang Digital Natives are working on engaging study tools to help with brainstorming, concept mapping, emailing, blogging, creating online collaborative stories, and movie making. We have been looking into using Google Docs, creating an iGoogle, and will eventually get into using Web 2.0 tools (similar to Facebook but safer). According to club advisor Emily Stewart, "The best part of Digital Natives is that we all learn from each other."
